JADE GARDENS is a Bonsai nursery that examines the possibility of creating good Bonsai from many kinds of trees.  There is ongoing research focusing on the horticulture of native trees kept in a Bonsai environment.  On over 6 acres and 4 large greenhouses, we have over 100 varieties of trees from one gallon to Specimen.  All trees grown at the nursery are grown for Bonsai.  There is a constant exploration to find, collect and develop native trees and bring them to the world of Bonsai.

THE CENTRAL TEXAS BONSAI EXHIBIT is a public display of some of the finest Bonsai in the region.  This collection reflects a great variety of Bonsai styles.  Many of the traditional trees (maples, elms, pines) are used; however, the majority of the display focuses on trees native to Central and South Texas.  By seeing thebeauty of tropical and subtropical Bonsai trees, viewers can explore the potentialof bringing Bonsai into an indoor environment, where it can be enjoyed and appreciated.

The Gift Shop has a wide variety of items - jade, cloisonné, porcelain, wood, soapstone and of course, there are always our T-shirts and sweatshirts with our logo.

We now carry an exclusive line of silver bonsai jewelry. Each large medallion is the size of a half-dollar and has 6 grams of silver. We have necklaces and earrings.

Available, now, are earring and charms the size of a nickel - each has 3 grams of silver.

Earrings are for pierced or non-pierced ears.

Chuck teaches classes or "one on one" at his studio in Wimberley. He has lectured or given demonstrations to most of the Bonsai clubs in the state of Texas, plus Master Gardener and other gardening groups. He is available to speak to your organization for a modest fee plus traveling expenses.

We are located at the beginning of the hill country in beautiful Wimberley - 15 miles north of San Marcos or 15 miles south of Dripping Springs - on the main road called Ranch Road 12.  We are halfway between Austin and San Antonio with easy access from New Braunfels.  Chuck & Pat Ware own and operate the nursery together.
